A selection of images from a souvenir post card folder, printed in Newburgh, N.Y., soon after the Bear Mountain Bridge was opened.The folder consists of a cover, with an accordian-folded strip of 18 post card sized images, printed back-to-back. The cost of mailing the item was 1.5 cents.
According to the Wikipedia article on the bridge “from the time of its completion in 1924, it held the record for the longest suspension bridge in the world for 19 months, until it was surpassed by the Benjamin Franklin Bridge in Philadelphia.”
